Future employment opportunities
The next time you encounter a robot it may be serving food, delivering a parcel, taking your blood pressure or talking to you.
Robots are no longer confined to factories helping to build cars and a skilled workforce is needed to design, manufacture, program, service and decommission robots.
The challenge for learners
In a fast-changing world, how can we prepare for employment in robotics?
We believe that there is no substitute for hands-on experimentation.
By facing problems and solving them, we can develop the necessary manipulative skills and hands-on understanding of materials, forces and electronics.
By solving problems using what is available, rather than what we would like to have, we can spark energetic creativity.
Our offer to you
We have been building our own robots for almost 10 years, making choices and compromises. Along the way we found new ways to do things.
Now we want to support you in your journey. On this site we will share our work, showing how we solved some of the problems we faced so you can be inspired to try your own ideas.
Visit the Gallery and the Our Robots pages to see some of the ideas we tried.
